On May 3rd, 1947, the new constitution of Japan, which was ratified on November 3rd, 1946, came into effect. This day is a public holiday and the middle of Golden Week in Japan. So please relax and contemplate the meaning of Democracy and especially article 9 of the Japanese constitution on this day!
