2021 Golden Week Events Mostly Curtailed
About Golden Week
Golden Week in Japan is one of the busiest and most expensive times to travel within Japan, because so many people take this time off all at once. As everybody knows Japanese are extremely dedicated to their jobs and are loathe to take any personal time off. So this week is a a series of public holidays that pretty much everybody (not convenience store workers though) have to take off. So hotels and resorts usually charge maximum prices during this time because of the very high spike in customers. It’s a beautiful time of year, but if you are on a tight budget, maybe not the best time to travel around Japan.List of Holidays and Events During Golden Week
