Atomic Bomb Memorial Day for Nagasaki takes place on August 9th of ever year. It is basically a time or Japanese people to contemplate the horrors of war and benefits of peace. There is a memorial ceremony taking place in Nagasaki Peace Park beginning at 10:35 am depending on weather etc. It is a lot more low key than the one in Hiroshima. It certainly is not a touristy event meant to grab attention.
